I’m Dr. Alexandra Gard, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Perinatal Mental Health Certified clinician who specializes in supporting women, mothers, and couples through life’s most meaningful transitions.
For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside clients as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, relationship changes, anxiety, and the identity shifts that often accompany becoming a parent. These seasons can be beautiful, but they can also be unexpectedly complex. My work is centered on helping women feel supported, understood, and emotionally grounded as they move through them.
My passion for maternal mental health is both professional and deeply personal. As a mother of three, I have experienced firsthand the emotional terrain that can come with the postpartum period – the joy, the overwhelm, the questions about who you are becoming, and the quiet pressure many mothers feel to hold everything together. Those experiences deepened my commitment to creating a space where women feel seen, supported, and never alone in what they’re navigating.
In our work together, I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a warm, collaborative style. I believe therapy should be a place where you can exhale – a space to process honestly, gain clarity, and develop the tools needed to care for yourself and your relationships with greater confidence.
Whether you are preparing for motherhood, adjusting to life after baby, feeling overwhelmed by the mental load of modern parenting, or working to strengthen your relationship, my goal is to provide thoughtful, compassionate care that meets you exactly where you are.

When I’m not working, I really enjoy spending time with family & friends. I am a big foodie and love to cook, and try the best restaurants around town.
Another big part of my life is working out and I am an avid fitness lover. I enjoy exercise because it keeps me healthy, but it is also a great outlet for stress.
